Keema is spicy ground beef. Daal is lentil soup. I was born in India and I
don't even know how to cook this stuff. It's not easy, and for those of you
who've had bad keema, you know what I'm talking about. Oh...and the bit
about urdu poetry is even more difficult to believe. I'm a native speaker of
urdu and I don't understand classical urdu poetry. It's a different
language. It's like reading Milton, or Chaucer, or to a lesser extent
Shakespeare. It's not every native speaker's cup of tea, let alone somebody
who doesn't even claim to speak the language.
